The Sunday Morning service is all about Jesus. No matter the content of the message, the flavor of the songs, or the spoken word, the end goal is ALWAYS to point to Jesus and the joy that can only be found in Him.
Musically and liturgically we are relatively modern, keeping with the Biblical command to “sing a new song”. However, it would be arrogant to discard 2,000 years of prior worship practice, as though wisdom can only be found in a modern style. So we also sing modernized versions of old hymns, and incorporate different aspects from the Christian faith’s rich history – again, all with the goal of revealing the gospel, magnifying Jesus’ beauty, and drawing us into a deeper relationship and trust in Him who saved us.
